We bring the curtain down on the 12th edition of the BCN Sports Film Festival

The end of the twelfth edition of the BCN Sports Film Festival has come, and it has done it with the session “And the winners are…”, screened at the Cinemes Girona. A selection of the winning films that were announced at the Closing Ceremony were screened.

After seven days of screenings, the 12th edition of the BCN Sports Film Festival has come to an end. During these days we have been able to enjoy a great variety of productions distributed in 7 different venues: Museu Olímpic i de l’Esport Joan Antoni Samaranch, Museu i Centre d’Estudis Dr. Melcior Colet, Cinemes Girona, Centre Cívic Bon Pastor, Centre Cívic Cotxeres de Sants, Centre Cívic El Sortidor, Institut Français de Barcelona.

The last session, “And the winners are…”, was screened at Cinemes Girona. A large number of people did not want to miss it and were able to learn more about the stories of our protagonists.

The selection of four of the short films awarded at the Closing Ceremony was as follows:

– Best Animated Film: Comeback, by Vladimir Leschiov

– Special Jury Award: Run! Shunzi, by Chunliang Zhao

– Best Fiction Film: Ascenso, by Juanjo Giménez

– Amphora for Best Film: La cumbre es el camino, by Álvaro Sanz

Some titles that have not left any of the attendees indifferent. Stories of overcoming, illusion and spirit of sacrifice, among many other values, are the ones that have closed this edition of the BCN Sports Film Festival that has lasted seven days (from February 14 to 20).

A unique festival with sport as its backbone!
