Sports cinema lands in Barcelona: discover the venues of the 12th edition of the BCN Sports Film Festival

The 12th edition of the BCN Sports Film Festival can be followed in person from February 14 to 20, 2022 in seven different venues in Barcelona.

After celebrating our 11th edition virtually due to the pandemic, this year we are back with more enthusiasm than ever! The new edition of the BCN Sports Film Festival has had more than 3000 productions registered from 62 different countries. Of all of them, 84 have been selected to compete in the official section, which will be held in the Catalan capital from February 14 to 20.

Audiovisual productions will be screened at seven official venues: Joan Antoni Samaranch Olympic and Sports Museum, Cinemes Girona, Dr. Melcior Colet Sports Museum, El Sortidor Civic Center, French Institute of Barcelona, Bon Pastor Civic Center and Cotxeres de Sants Civic Center.

With the projected productions we will learn that sport is an instrument to promote the path towards a more committed society. We will enjoy unpublished audiovisual productions related to names in sport, as well as a variety of documentaries and short fiction and animation films for all audiences.

A week dedicated to sport that will start on Monday, February 14 with the opening ceremony and will end on Sunday, February 20 with the awards ceremony. The screenings will be held throughout the day at different times and venues to facilitate the presence of spectators. We will announce them soon, don’t miss it!
