EXTRAORDINAY RULES & REGULATIONS OF BCN SPORTS FILM FESTIVAL 2020 FOR THE CATEGORY SPORT – STAY HOME
The Barcelona Olympic Foundation, with the support of the Barcelona City Council, organizes the BCN Sports Film 2020 – 11th BARCELONA INTERNATIONAL FICTS FESTIVAL. The event is sponsored by FICTS – Fédération Internationale de Cinéma et Télévision Sportifs and forms part of the WORLD FICTS CHALLENGE 2020.
The BCN Sports Film 2020 will be held in Barcelona from 26th to 30th October 2020. This eleventh edition of the Festival will have a competitive nature.
These Rules & Regulations have been approved by the BCN Sports Film 2020 Organising Committee. Your taking part in BCN Sports Film 2020 implies the total acceptance of these regulations.
One of the principal objectives of BCN Sports Film 2020 is to bring the general public into contact with sports-orientated audiovisual content and the values that they represent. Whilst offering the media, film directors, producers and specialised distributors a meeting place in which they can exchange views and information.
The extraordinary competition presented by these rules is open to audiovisual productions with a maximum duration of 7 minutes (7 ‘) whose theme is the relationship of sport and the consequences of the Covid 19 crisis, such as confinement. Only audiovisual productions that deal with this subject and that represent it through the genres of animation, documentary or fiction will be admitted to the competition.
BCN Sports Film 2020 is open to both professional and independent productions.
BCN Sports Film 2020 will admit all films produced between the date of publication of these rules until 17th May 2020.
Each producer may present as many films as he wishes as long as they comply with all other regulations.
BCN Sports Film 2020 may programme non-competing films of general interest whatever their date of production.
The BCN Sports Film 2020 Organising Committee will appoint the official Festival jury.
The BCN Sports Film 2020 jury will comprise popular personalities drawn from the worlds of sport, cinema, audiovisual production and culture.
All their decisions and verdicts are final and without recourse.
Selected Films will be competing for:
- Awar “Sport-Stay Home”, gifted with 500 €
Inscriptions will be accepted between the date of publication of these rules until 17th May 2020.
The Organizing Committee will notify participants by email should film have been selected for the BCN Sports Film 2020 official competition.
Other promotional material may be requested by the organisation.
The organisation will provide the subtitles in Catalan or Spanish for exclusive use during the event.
Those films selected to participate will be projected as scheduled in the 2020 Festival Programme.
Films selected to compete will form part of the documentary and video-graphical material of the Library of the Barcelona Olympic Foundation where public exhibition in the Joan Antoni Samaranch Olympic Museum, (headquarters of the Barcelona Olympic Foundation) will be strictly limited to educational activities and as a means to increase public awareness of the Festival.
Winning films may be shown free of charge for the promotion of BCN Sports Film Festival as well as in a maximum of three state samples.
Winning films will be eligible to participate in the final international stages of the WORLD FICTS CHALLENGE. The winners explicitly authorise the BCN Sports Film 2020 Organising Committee to provide their contact information to the Organising Committees of the other WORLD FICTS CHALLENGE Festivals.
Under no circumstances will projection rights be granted to third parties without prior, express, written consent of the producers or their legal representatives.
Participants also authorise the Organising Committee to partially reproduce their films in the media with the aim of promoting the 2020 BCN SPORTS FILM festival.

Purposes of the data processing
The management and administration of the 2020 BCN SPORTS FILM festival.
The publication of personal photographs on the website and social media, and, therefore, acceptance of these rules authorises the FBO (the Barcelona Olympic Foundation – Fundació Barcelona Olímpica) to take photographs and publish them, as mentioned above, on the website and social media.
Legitimation and retention period
Participation in the competition will entail the express and unequivocal consent of the participant owning the data to their processing by the FBO in the terms and for the purposes stipulated above.
The legal basis for the processing of the data are these rules for the 2020 BCN SPORTS FILM festival.
The winning participants’ personal data will be safeguarded for such time as they do not withdraw their consent.
Transfer of the personal data provided by data subjects to third parties is not envisaged beyond those provided for in these bases or provided that the interested party has given their consent.
However, if appropriate, they will be assigned to third parties only if the data subject grants his/her unequivocal consent or in cases of compliance with the execution of a contract, a legitimate interest, the public interest or legal obligations.
International data transfers are not envisaged.

In compliance with the current regulations, the FBO guarantees that it has taken all the technical and organisational measures necessary to maintain the required level of security, bearing in mind the nature of the personal data processed.

- Any person has the right to obtain confirmation of whether the FBO is processing his or her personal data.
- Data subjects have the right to access their personal data, as well as to request the rectification of any inaccurate data and, if appropriate, to request their deletion when, among other reasons, the data are no longer required for the purposes for which they were collected.
- Under certain circumstances, data subjects may request the restriction of the processing of their data, in which case the FBO will only retain them to file or defend itself against claims.

In the event that participants do not accept the full content of these rules, they will not be allowed to take part in the competition.
