Whenever the Olympic Games are held, the host city undergoes colossal changes.
On the occasion of the XXXI Olympics that are being held in Rio de Janeiro, the Olympic and Sports Museum is hosting a temporary exhibit displaying the changes borne by the Brazilian metropolis as it strives to be the venue for this event.
Barcelona 1992 is still the reference when planning the upgrading of stadia, decentralisation of large areas by constructing Olympic facilities and improving public transport in, and access to, the city.
