From 3rd to 7th May sports fans have a date in Barcelona.
For 5 days the 2016 BCN Sports Film Festival will bring you closer to turning your dreams into the reality of taking part. 84 films screened in over 30 sessions will be shown in Barcelona and Sant Boi de Llobregat.
The starting pistol for the 2016 BCN Sports Film Festival will be heard on 3rd May. As in previous years and with the support of the Department of Justice of the Generalitat, the festival will take the show to a number of penal institutions in which social workers have toiled to programme several sessions.
The festival will kick off with Jon Herranz and Gerard Peris (Namuss Films), respectively producer and director of the multi-honoured documentary Panorama, presenting their film to the inmates of the Quatre Camins penitentiary.
7 p.m. is the time to don your Sunday best for the Opening Ceremony. At the Joan-Antoni Samaranch Olympic and Sports Museum you will get a foretaste of this year’s novelties. Outstanding amongst these are the “Love Sport” sessions for over-eighteens. At the same time, we will be screening “Sport and Values” at the cinemas at Can Castellet in Sant Boi. These films highlight the role of women in sports, sports in underdeveloped countries and the importance of knowing how to win and lose.
Put your all into enjoying sports experiences at the BCN Sports Film: 5 days of passion for sport, adrenaline boosts and unique exploits which these outstanding films will bring to life.
Barcelona looks forward to welcoming you to the very best in sports films till 7th May.
Let the show begin!
