RULES & REGULATIONS OF COMPETITION

I. ORGANISER

1. This competition is organised by La Fundació Barcelona Olímpica (FBO), (The Barcelona Olympic Foundation) domiciled in Barcelona, Av. de l’Estadi, 60, cp 08038 and VAT Nº G-60309655, in collaboration with Diari Esport.

II. MISSION

The object of this competition is to produce a promotional spot for the 3rd edition of the BCN Sports Film Festival to be used for the advertising campaign.

III. SUBJECT MATTER

The promotional video should highlight the relationship between Barcelona, sport and the audiovisual industry.

IV. CARACTERÍSTICAS TÉCNICAS

Resolution: from 720P to 1080P

Format (one of the following): .mov / .mpeg / .avi ( if possible with H264 compression).

Maximum size: 2GB.

2. The video should be 20 seconds in length.

V. ENTRANTS

1. Entry to this competition is totally free of charge for the competitors.

2. The competition is open to any person previously registered on the web page www.sportsfilm.tv (hereinafter the site).

3. The site will only accept one entry per user.

4. The user certifies the accuracy of the information provided and FBO reserves the right to exclude any entrant submitting false or inaccurate information, notwithstanding any other legal recourse that may pertain.

5. Only those registration forms with all obligatory fields correctly completed will be admitted to the competition.

6. Any entrant not complying in full with these Rules & Regulations will be automatically excluded.

7. Entries will not be accepted from the employees of the FBO and its subsidiaries nor companies or persons who have provided services or intervened in any way in the organisation of the competition.

8. The decision of FBO is final in the resolution of any error, misunderstanding or conflict that may arise from the operation or any other aspect of the competition.

9. FBO accepts no responsibility for any loss suffered by entrants with regards to the awards.

VI. DEADLINES

Entries may be submitted from the twenty-seven (27) December 2011 until the twenty-eighth (28th) February 2012 at 00'00.

VII. HOW TO APPLY

1. In order enter, applicants must register as a user on www.sportsfilm.tv.

Once you have completed the application process you will be assigned an on-screen registration number to identify your personal file.

2. Once registered, the user should upload the video to the Sportsfilm.tv ftp using the free http://cyberduck.ch/ link:

In Cyberduck, click “New connection”

Use the following parameters to configure the new connection:

Type of connection: FTP (File Transfer Protocol)

Server: 84.88.95.25

Port: 21

User name: productor

Password: password

Click “Connect”

Drag files to “uploads”

Wait for upload to complete.

3. The videos from the 2 previous editions are available on the site and the candidates may use them as reference.

4. All videos submitted must be originals, not previously screened and be the exclusive property of the entrant.

5. The entrant is solely responsible for all rights to images, voices and names of all those taking part in the video including, of course, any music that it may contain. Any minors must be authorised by their parents or legal guardian. Authorisations shall grant FBO universal licensing rights to all submitted materials.

6. Videos will not be screened should FBO consider them to:

Include offensive content or be contrary to FBO values.

Refer to violence, sex and/or drugs

Infringe or may be deemed to infringe royalties, copyrights or licences as well as third-party property or personal rights.

VIII. JUDGING THE ENTRIES

1. The Organising Committee of the 2012 BCN Sports Film Festival will base the choice of the winner on:

- Originality of submission.

- Coherence of the spot in relation to the subject proposed.

2. There will be only one winner amongst all entries who will be notified by email no more than 15 working days from 28th February 2012.

3. The winner shall expressly accept the award within 15 working days from the date of notification.

4. Should FBO be unable to contact the winner within the stipulated deadlines, the award will be forfeited. FBO reserves the right to award the prize to another entrant.

In this case, or in that of the winner waiving his right to the prize, FBO will award the prize by descending order of the back-up list compiled to this effect by the jury.

5. Entrants authorise FBO to publish their name in communications related to the competition should they be declared winner.

IX. PRIZES

1. A cash prize of € 1,000 will be awarded.

2. The prize will be presented during the 3rd BCN International Sports Film Festival closing ceremony which is to be held on 10th May 2012.

3. FBO will withhold pertinent taxes and will communicate the value of prize awarded to the Local Tax Authorities and will provide the winner with a certificate specifying the value of the prize and the taxes paid.

X. RIGHTS PERTAINING TO WINNING VIDEO

1.Notwithstanding the author's moral rights, the winner grants FBO exclusive licensing rights to the use of the video in any and all formats, including, but not limited to: televisions, on-line channels, and other platforms that FBO may consider opportune. These rights are universal and for an unlimited term.

Specifically, the winner grants FBO the rights to reproduce, edit, distribute, and dub the video, using any and all image reproduction technology, whether totally or partially, with no limits other than those that may be imposed by Copyright Legislation. The rights granted explicitly include Internet and whatsoever other transmission platform and the rights to manipulate and adapt the work.

It is taken for granted that the prize awarded to the winner is full and complete payment for the rights granted in the preceding paragraph and the winner shall have no right to claim any further consideration for the said rights transferred to FBO.

2. FBO shall credit the author whenever using the video or on ceding the rights to third parties, unless, of course, the author expresses his wish not to be identified. The complete name of the producer will be included in the credits.

3. Entrants shall certify that:

a) They are sole owners of the videos uploaded to the web, or are the exclusive licensors of all the rights to fulfil these Rules & Regulations.

b) They are licensors of all copyrights and rights to the photographic likeness of third parties who may appear in the videos and those of any music used.

c) They have the authority to grant FBO exclusive licensing rights.

Likewise, the entrants undertake to compensate FBO or any third parties to whom they may have granted rights for any legal actions undertaken for infringement of copyright and/or photographic rights by third parties.

XI. PUBLICATION AND PERSONAL DATA

1. In accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act, you are hereby informed that the personal data provided will be included in an archive and will be processed by FBO with the object of managing the competition and awarding the prize.

Additionally, entrants' data will be processed with the object of informing them (electronically if necessary) of new promotions, products, services and competitions that mat be organised or offered by FBO.

Users who have supplied data may exercise their right to access, rectification, deletion and objection by sending an email to ilallana@fbolimpica.es. The mail should include information on the activity in which they took part. Likewise, they may exercise their rights as provided by the Organic Law for the Protection of Personal Data by writing to the FBO headquarters in Barcelona, Avinguda de l'Estadi, 60, 08038.

2. Entry in the competition implies express and unequivocal consent to the use of the entrant's data by the FBO in the terms and to the ends stipulated.

XII. SETTLEMENT OF DISPUTES

For the settlement of disputes arising from the interpretation of these Rules & Regulations, both the FBO and entrant waive rights to their own jurisdiction in favour of the Arbitration Commission of Barcelona (Tribunal Arbitral de Barcelona.)
