Some sessions will be held in several prisons around Catalunya in an effort to widen our audience to cover as varied a public as possible.

THE JOAN-ANTONI SAMARANCH OLYMPIC AND SPORTS MUSEUM

The Joan-Antoni Samaranch Olympic and Sports Museum is managed by the Barcelona Olympic Foundation and is located at the heart of the Parc de Montjuïc, a few minutes from Plaça d’Espanya.

Their mission is to promote sport as a universal language and an instrument for social integration. Using State-of-the-Art equipment, the Museum provides a global vision –historical, ethical, cultural, recreational and educational– of sport, in all its disciplines and forms and divulges the values of sport in an amusing and easily assimilable manner.

THE SALA ÀMBIT CULTURAL – EL CORTE INGLÉS

The Corte Inglés is one of the Festival’s leading patrons for the sixth year running and will be screening a series of especially selected competing films at their Auditorium, Sala Àmbit Cultural on the sixth floor of their store in Portal de l’Àngel.

The Sala Àmbit Cultural is an Auditorium of reference in Barcelona and where many cultural events are held.

THE FRENCH INSTITUTE – BARCELONA

The French Institute was created in 1919 with the aim of encouraging knowledge of the French language and culture and to take an active part in the cultural life of the city.

The Institute has for basic aims: the teaching of French as a foreign language; cultural advancement and interchange; information and documentation and to act as an intercultural forum.

Located close to the centre of Barcelona, it opened in 1974 in a building that was designed by the Catalan architect J.A. Coderch and which is now part of the architectural patrimony of the city. Amongst the amenities are a multimedia library, an art gallery and an auditorium with seating for 330.

TORRE BARRINA

Located in the Parc de la Marquesa, Torre Barrina is an old country house that was built in 1867. It was opened in 2013 as the Hospitalet Municipal Centre for Multimedia Creation.

Today, it is a centre for audiovisual resources, a place for learning and a laboratory for audiovisual projects. Torre Barrina is youth-oriented and is aimed at enhancing the economic, social and cultural development of the city in an urban setting. The three founding principles for the work here are: encouraging training, production and increasing awareness of audiovisual and multimedia products.
