The 2015 BCN Sports Film Festival establishes its position as the most important sports film festival in the world.
Nearly one hundred films will be shown in this, sixth, edition of the event which will be held from 5th to 9th May. The venues are: Olympic and Sports Museum; Sala Àmbit Cultural in the Corte Inglés, the French Institute of Barcelona and at the Torre Barrina Rooms in Hospitalet de Llobregat.
This year has seen record participation with more than 400 films from 40 countries vying for a place in the Official Section.
Documentaries, fiction, animation, special effects and advertising spots make up our extraordinary programme. Most of the films competing in this event have already received awards at other prestigious international competitions; including the Festival International du Court Métrage in Clermont-Ferrand, the Mendi Film Festival in Bilbao, The Festival International de Film d’Animation at Cannes, la Berlinale, Cinefoot in Rio de Janeiro, the Festival Tous Courts in Aix-en-Provence or Off Courts in Trouville amongst others.
Bookings for the sessions reserved for primary and secondary students have exceeded all expectations and demonstrate the growing interest in schools and educational institutions to come and enjoy the shorts at our morning sessions.
