Albert Font Gumfaus (Vic 1965) has a Master in Corporate and Institutional Communication from the UAB (Autonomous University of Barcelona), graduated from ESADE in the Creation and Consolidation of Innovative Companies, is qualified in Graphic Arts and Architectural Draughtsmanship and is currently president of the Àreadaptada Association. Since 2004 he has been active in the coordination of disabled sports and is a firm believer in integrated sports and has given many conferences and courses in associations, institutes and universities on the subject. For the last 20 years, he has been managing a corporate design, publicity and communication company, Gumfaus, S.L. In 2007 he launched a project called Gumfi, the walking ball which is designed to develop the intellectual capacities and values of young people. The programme is backed by the Department of Linguistic Policies of the Generalitat of Catalunya and is recommended by the Association of Psychologists of Madrid and the Cardenal Cisneros University School.
JOÃO GARÇÃO BORGES
João Garção Borges (Lisbon, 1956) graduated from the Cinema School of the National Conservatory of Lisbon and is currently a producer, scriptwriter, critic and cinema and television programmer. He has been a member of the juries at all the major International Cinema Festivals and has been working continuously in film and TV since 1976. He started his career in RTP (Radio e Televisão de Portugal) in 1979 where, until 2013, he was responsible for a great number of film co-productions, fiction series and documentaries as well as being in charge of programming. In 1996 he created the season, Onda Curta, to screen and promote international shorts. In 2014, he founded SHORTSPLANET, a brand-new global project to promote shorts and is currently involved in a documentary project in South America.
Ferran Martinez (Barcelona, 1968) is a former Olympic basketball player with 156 international caps. He has won all the winnable at a club level when playing for: Barcelona; Joventut of Badalona and Panathinaikos of Athens. Individual awards include the Spanish Medal of Sports Merits; he has an MBA from La Salle (University of Ramon Llull) and Saint Mary’s University of San Francisco, Master in Financial Analysis from the CEF, and an Honorary Degree from the Business School, ESERP. He is a businessman and entrepreneur and is Partner and President of Lánzame Capital - a venture capital company. Currently Ferran manages the Sport & New Business division of the Private Bank Andbank which advises elite sportsmen on investments and wealth management at a global level. He is vice-president of the Barcelona Panathlon International and an ambassador for Laureus Spain, posts he combines with being a coach and writer with 4 books published.
Bibiana Schönhöfer (Barcelona 1974) studied under Javier Galitó-Cava and graduated in the Meisner Technique. She has pursued her prestigious training as an actress in a number of schools in Barcelona and New York. She appeared in the film Fragile by Juanma Bajo Ulloa and has taken part in a number of plays including Noies de Calendari directed by Antonio Calvo. She has played a leading role in several shorts, Aniversario 5.0 directed by Gerard Ferré and La Mejor Forma de Pensar es no Pensar by J.M Solanes, amongst others. Her TV career at Tele 5 and Antena 3 includes appearances in series such as Hospital Central, El Comisario or Aquí No Hay Quien Viva. She hosted Sputnik TV on Televisió de Catalunya’s Canal 33 and is currently artistic director of MÈDIT, the The Menorcan Festival of Mediterranean Cinema, the 7th edition of which will be held in July 2015.
Mª ENCARNACIÓ SOLER
Mª Encarnació Soler i Alomà (Mataró, 1954) has a doctorate in the History of Art from the University of Barcelona and is president and founding member of CINEMA-RESCAT. She is an expert in the recuperation and investigation of Catalan Film Patrimony, has given a large number of conferences and courses, is the author of numerous articles and is a visual adviser for documentaries. She was a member of the Governing Board of the Catalan Summer University of the Catalan Film Collection (CO.CI.CA) and is currently a member of the Spanish Association of Film Historians and the Catalan Film Academy. She has been awarded the Catalan National Film Prize of the Department of Culture of the Generalitat of Catalunya and the Gold Medal of the Union Internationale du Cinéma Non Professionnel (UNICA). She is a member of the UNICA Jury and of that of the Memorimage International Film Festival for the CINEMA-RESCAT prize awarded for the best investigative work for documentary film.
